REGISTERED OSTEOPATH

Dr. Leo Di Giorgio

Dr. Leo Di Giorgio is an experienced Osteopath registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency and a member of Osteopathy Australia.

Leo has a keen interest in helping patients with chronic pain, such as low back pain, headache and jaw pain, to lead a fulfilling life. His interest in chronic pain has led Leo to pursue post-graduate studies addressing low back pain. Having a corporate background, Leo understands how to provide realistic and useful advice for patients who work in an office-based environment.

While treating, Leo uses a range of Osteopathic techniques, which includes direct and indirect techniques, including manipulation and massage. Leo also uses education and advice to ensure you can take control of your health and wellbeing. Each treatment aims to return you to your natural state of health and to achieve your wellbeing goals.

While studying Osteopathy, Leo worked as a Pilates instructor, where he enjoyed helping clients feel and move better while improving their sense of wellbeing. Leo's interest in efficient human movement means he can provide advice to clients regarding sport, exercise, work and household tasks. Furthermore, Leo has extensive experience with patients who have chronic health conditions that may compromise the musculoskeletal system. Examples being asthma, migraine and arthritis.

Leo is a caring and compassionate practitioner with broad clinical experience. He takes a holistic approach to your health care. Leo also believes in a team-based approach to health care and will advise if other medical attention is warranted. He can communicate with your GP, or any other health professional, to ensure a coordinated approach.

Osteopathic treatment is eligible for private health rebate, and medicare rebates may be available under an eligible care plan put in place by your GP.

Away from work, Leo enjoys time with his partner, studying Italian and watching Italian films (sometimes without the subtitles!) and relaxing with his two Italian Greyhounds.
